If it has a standard headphone out, that can generally be connected to the aux in. If it doesn't, the manufacturer's got you trapped into buying an adapter.

With an adapter cable. What cable that might be depends upon what kind of connectors your stereo wants. Unless it's one of the ones with an FM transmitter, in which case you don't need the cable, you need to tune the player and the car radio to the same frequency. If your car stereo doesn't get FM stations and your MP3 player only has FM output, you need a new MP3 player. Or a new stereo.
