You have to have some power tools. A band saw would help. Power sanders would help. Do you know how to use a drawknife and a spokeshave. Both would be useful in building a guitar neck. It has to as close to absolutely perfect as possible. Any deviation from perfect will be reflected in the playing and it will be very hard to play easily. There are several books detailing building electronic guitars. There are lots of websites that detail building electronic guitars. How about buying the neck and building the rest. The neck is the hardest part to build and you will gather more experience for your NEXT one. And there will be an next one. Building your own gets in your blood.
For electric guitars, the neck is the hardest part to build. Most people buy a neck. You can get one or order one from most music shops, or online at stores like Guitar Parts USA (linked below). If you're still interested, I was unable to find an instructable, but there are resources on the web. The second link below isn't really a tutorial, but shows you the basic build process for a complete electric guitar, including the neck. The last link is the Tutorials section at Project Guitar. They're full of advice on everything guitar (go figure). They also have a forum and a great reference section.
