13003 Transistor Joule Thief

hey! today I will show you how to make a joule thief with a transistor I bought from an old adapter. you can find this transistor in cheap adapters

Supplies

• LED
• 13003 TRANSISTOR
• 20-0-20 ferrit toroid

Step 1: Removing Transistor

you can desolder the transistor with soldering iron

Step 2:

connect positive lead of led to toroid

Step 3:

connect toroid to base pin of the transistor

Step 4:

connect positive lead of led to collector pin

Step 5:

connect negative lead of led to the emitter pin

Step 6: Powering

We must connect the positive lead of the battery to the toroid and the negative lead to the emitter pin.
