Introduction: $3 Building Block Set Made From One 2x4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw76OFlu3AM
a simple, interlocking wood building block you can make with relatively ease in a basic wood shop out of only one 2X4.
yields about 60 blocks 1.5" X1.5" X3" blocks.
there are tool substitutions that can be made to make this simpler and watch through to the end or other ideas on how to get these - or something similar made. don't give presents, make a gift!
thanks for watching,

Great idea. So simple yet elegant. I know from my own experience (childhood and children) that "mere" blocks will work just fine for kids, but the ones you make are ingenious, and I bet most people will believe you bought them (Though one might argue that most just do not know or believe how easy it can be to make things from wood with the right tools and frame of mind). Thanks for sharing!

Nice! I still remember the blocks my dad and his buddy made... just simple ones. I don't know how many families and generations played with them. Even remember the 'tink' sound the long ones made when hit together.
