Introduction: 3D Print Electronic Cases

About: I like to make things and I'm glad I can share it with you! I post the videos on YouTube - 3DSage

Making 3D printed cases for electronics can be hard. I designed several variations of the best cases I could to share with you! Watch the video for full details!

Supplies

Step 1: Small Breadboard With Power

Note: The video will show all the steps in detail so watch the video too!

I thought it would be a good idea to have a small breadboard with the rechargeable battery inside.

3D print the small breadboard holder. Trim off the sides of the breadboard so it can drop in the main frame. Place the battery frame followed by the battery holder. Finally slide in the lid which I designed to snap and hold in place.

Step 2: Larger 3V or 6V Breadboard

I didn't stop there! I have many more options for you. I also designed a larger breadboard holder that assembles the same way but you have an option to swap out the 3V frame for a 6V frame. You can use a voltage regulator on the breadboard to step down the voltage if you want.

I think this would be great for a teacher who needs several students to each have their own breadboard and power.

Step 3: Custom Board Holder

What about your own custom made perfboard, cnc board, or professional manufactured pcb? I got that too!

I designed a board holder that can hold your board and it can be easily adjusted. Bring the file into any 3D software. There are several free options available. Then find the difference between this board and your board. Add half that distance to each of the sides by pulling the vertices. Then print and it will fit your board!

Step 4: Smallest Holder

I wanted to also make the smallest holder. Since this is a very small holder for your board with the swappable rechargeable battery, you can use it for many different portable projects like Halloween costumes, cosplay, game or movie props, jewelry, and many more!

I hope these electronic holders help you in your projects or maybe even inspire you to start making electronics!

Thank you for watching!
