Introduction: 5 Minute Paneer Recipe
An easy 5 minute recipe for making Paneer side dish
Step 1: Ingredients List:
Ingredients:
Paneer - 250g
Yogurt - 2 TBSP
Tomato Puree - 4 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 3 TBSP
Step 2: Marination & Mix
Cut Paneer pieces in cubes. In a separate bowl mix yogurt and tomato puree and to that all the spices. Mix everything well and then dump Paneer pieces. Coat them well.
Step 3: Cooking
Now in a pan add some oil. When oil is medium hot, add Paneer and cook for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid gravy from sticking to the bottom of the pan. That’s it.

what type of cheese can you use in the US? i can buy indian paneer at the indian grocery but it is frozen.

Imnohos, here in UK we get fresh packed paneer. I have never used frozen Indian paneer but probably it will be ok if you defrost it properly. Ask at the grocer if you can cook Paneer dishes with the frozen ones once they are thawed properly. I hope it helps. I have one more Paneer recipe in my Channel, sharing the link here.
