Introduction: 5-minute Desktop Studio Lighting

Fastest and cheap way to have a desktop studio lighting for some macro photography. It may not be suitable for a Pro's' needs but this will work for me just fine for now. Maybe it will go the same way with you.

I'm in Japan, by the way. These 100 yen ($1) shops are everywhere. Saw these pocket-tripods and 4-LED strips (4.5v) this morning and got myself an idea.

Step 1: Materials

1. LED strip light
2. Pocket tripod
3. Drill or Multi-tool
4. Super Glue (optional)

Step 2: The Hole

Make or drill a hole just big enough that you could actually "screw" the tripod in. It's up to your needs if you want it vertical or horizontal. If in case it got bigger than expected, use super glue.

Oh, by the way... be careful not to hit the circuit inside.

Step 3:

Screw the tripod in.

If you used super glue, let it set for a while.

Then put the batteries.

Step 4:

And it's ready to use! Now you got turret defense (kidding).

To diffuse the light, you can use a tissue paper or a thin piece of cloth in between the light and the subject.

Now to make the studio...
