also works great with yogurt!
Step 1: Ingredients
Tools:Ingredients:
- 1 package frozen fruit (I used raspberries)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
Step 2: Make Ice Cream!!!!
Combine the frozen berries, sugar, cream and vanilla in a food processor or blender. Process until the fruit is roughly chopped and mixture resembles ice cream.
Step 3: Eat!
Your ice cream is ready to enjoy!
Eat now if you can't wait, or freeze for firmer texture.
Should there be any leftovers (ha!), they can be frozen for up to a week.
I can't wait to try this with chocolate syrup incorporated!

schooch this seems more like gelato than ice cream because ice cream is made with egg yolks and other stuff
Reply 9 years ago on Introduction
If it has egg yolks and cream, it's a frozen custard! My personal favorite, if you want an incredible frozen custard recipe, look up Alton Brown Good Eats on youtube, Churn Baby, Churn I think the episode is called. If it's just dairy (no eggs), it's ice cream! No dairy at all, sorbet or gelato or a number of other frozen concoctions! Sherbet is generally like ice cream, but the bulk of the mass is in fruit. Also, I realize this is over two years late, but I hope some one will find this useful.

thats true

Thats not true at all. Egg yolks? Never! Just heavy whipping cream (not whipped. the stuff in a carton) sugar, whichever ingredients you like, and bam! Of course you need an ice cream maker. You can also make butter with heavy cream... just pour some cream into a jar (or something with a spillproof lid) add a dash or so of salt, and shake it vigorously till the cream solidifies. Not lying!
