Introduction: A Mummy Mannequin
A mummy made out of toilet paper , a moveable sketch mannequin and some tea. Great activity for your kids to do but it can get a bit fiddly.
Step 1: Making the Linen Bandages
Of course being that the current financial climate and the fact we are not mummifying an actual body we won't be using any real linen instead I opted for some toilet paper. Try a use a brand that won't tear easily.
1. Once you have your chosen brand of toilet paper tear off approx. 5 sheets
2. Now using a pair of scissors cut the paper into 5 strips length ways.
3. You can then separate the layers of each strip

Step 2:
Now you have your 'Linen' Bandages you can begin to wrap your mannequin. It can get fiddly and some tissues get get torn so be careful
You can start where ever you want but I began at the head and worked down the body. The loose ends should be tucked into the rest of the tissue wrap.

Step 3: Tanning (optional)
This section of the instructable is optional but I think it give your mummy the effect that its slightly older then it actually is.
Simply use a wet/ slightly damp teabag and dab the tissue. It's easier to lie the manikin down for this and tan one side first and then the other after the first is dry.
Drying Manikin you can either be patient or use a hairdryer or put it in the oven.
If you are going to put it in the oven you should have a responsible adult with you (18+) and be sure to check on it as it should only take 3-5 minutes dry. Use oven gloves to remove it from the oven as the mannequin can get very hot.

Step 4: Pose
You have now completed the instructable, all you have to do now is position your mummy into a pose of your choice
