Introduction: A.E.G.I.S. Security Camera

About: i'm a normal tinkercad user at south korea (https://www.tinkercad.com/users/aNdMHtbigLu-heamou/) and i joined instructables because a lot of people's been doing this and i really like all those complicated DIY…

if you're a big portal fan, you'll probably know this giant robotic head of security. if you don't i'll give you a quick intro: A.E.G.I.S is the main villian in the portal fan made game, portal stories: mel. he's basically the security guard of a ruined science facility and tries to kill the player and the core(an eyeball-shaped robot)so he can shut down the main computer. but we're not here to talk about killing off players, we're here to talk about aegis's security abilities. since it's the guard robot, it could see the whole facilty with(obviously)cameras. but what really inspired me was that two cameras on it's head that kept moving as if it were trying to look at something. looking at that, i began working on a aegis security cam, and it turned out to be great!

Supplies

you will need:

a thick sheet of cardboard

scissors

pencil & pen & markers

spare phone case

a phone

glue gun

Step 1: Body Parts

first, get a thick sheet of cardboard and draw out like this with a pencil.

Step 2: Finished Body & Phone Sight

line out the whole thing with a pen and color the body as shown on the picture. after that, assemble it, and get a spare phonecase and glue it to the robot's back. make sure the camera looks through the tiny square hole.

Step 3: Wires to Hang It

get some crafting wires, and tie it to the robot's upper body. it should be glued at the back if it's too weak. the wire needs to be strong, too(while it can bend easliy).

Step 4: Done!

done! just set it on video and hang it on the ceiling fan or something. i used a drying rack for it's place. the camera really worked great, anyway. be sure to like and check out my other projects and i'll see you guys at the next project.
