ARDUINO PIR Motion Detector With 16X2 LCD

Introduction: ARDUINO PIR Motion Detector With 16X2 LCD

This is a simple project for beginners who have just started using Arduino.

This project uses a PIR Motion Sensor and a 16X2 LCD Module to display when the motion was detected and when the motion stopped.

So,just follow the steps to make this project.

Step 1: PARTS Required

The parts required are:-

1. 1 X Arduino board(UNO,MEGA,Pro Mini,NANO etc)

2. 1 X PIR Motion Sensor

3. 1 X 10k Trim Pot

4. 1 X LCD 16X2 Display Module

5. 10-20 X Jumper Wires

Step 2: Circuit Diagram

Wire up the circuit using the circuit diagram

Step 3: Code

Download the code.

Upload to your Arduino board and it will start working.

I set it all up properly and used provided code, but the timer runs until PIR sensor doesn't detect movement anymore, then timer shows maybe a 10 sec difference from start do finish, is this intended?

I tried this circuit, but the LCD screens I used didn't work and some of the wires in the picture went nowhere
