Step 1: Disassemble the Vacuum

Remove the bin, battery, the sticker that shows the battery life, and the filter.

Unscrew all the bolts and remove the top lid. Now, carefully get all of the components outside.

Step 2: Solderring the Wires

You would need:

  1. 2x wire (40cm)
  2. RCA female connector

Solder one end of a wire to the positive pad of the motor on the PCB and the other end to the inner part of the connector. Solder the other wire to the negative pad and to the outer part of the connector.

Step 3: Make Chanel for the Wire

Use the drill to create the channels (circled in blue) and rout the cable (as shown in red), making sure that the exit hole is centered between the two parts.

Before you put everything turn the vacuum on to see if it works and measure the connector with a multimeter to see if it gets power and are the polarity is as it should be.

Put everything together, and if you want, put thermal tubing on the connector.

Step 4: Solder Led Strip

You would need:

  1. 2x wire (100cm)
  2. RCA male connector

Solder one part of the wire to the V+ pad on the LED strip, and the other to the prong of the male connector. Solder the other wire to the C pad of the LED strip and the other end to the outside of the male connector.

Plug both connectors into each other and see if it lights up.

Then, put thermal tubing on the light strip as well as the connector.

Step 5: Printed Parts

Print the parts.

Use double-sided tape to hold the light strip part on the head, and route the cable along the tube using the cable clips, and clip the connector into its holder.

Step 6: Test If Everyrhing Works
