Step 1: Prepare to Stamp the Clay

Roll out the clay approximately 1/8 to ¼ inch thick.

Step 2: Stamp the Clay

Stamp with wood block stamps to create unique impressions.

Step 3: Cutting Out the Stamped Clay

Cut into circles using a template and knife or a large round cookie cutter.

Step 4: Smooth Out the Edges

Dip your finger in water and smooth the edges.

Step 5: Lay Into a Plastic Lined Pie Plate

Lay into a plastic wrap lined pie plate.

Step 6: Dry and Finish

Set in the sun to dry. When the clay has set, pull them from the pie plate, flip them over and let them finish drying.

Leave them as is or finish them with paints like this:
Spray them with the gloss spray paint on both sides, allowing them to dry in between. I like to do the back first.

Put a teaspoon of paint into a plastic cup along with one to two tablespoons of water. Mix to create a thin paint mixture. Brush over the bowls so the paint seeps into the texture. Wipe away excess paint with a damp paper towel.

Once the white paint is dry, spray again with the clear acrylic sealer.
