Introduction: Airgun DIY
Made from using a cream charger, two 12v solenoids out of a washing machine to act as triggers/pressure release valves, 20 mm x 200mm metal pipe with threaded ends for the chamber, some long aluminium tubing for the barrel, some wire, a 9V battery to operate solenoids via two small push button swiches. Pressure from the charged cream charger is released into the chamber by pressing a button to activate the first solenoid. Then a second button is pressed to activate the second solenoid to release the pressure from the pressurised chamber into the barrel and thus firing the projectile out of the barrel. I make my own bullets from 4mm metal rod this gun will go through sheet metal from 50 feet away.
