Introduction: Amazing Non-Dairy Chocolate Ice Cream

This a very simple, fast recipe for chocolate ice cream. It is made from avocados, and is absolutely amazing! You can't tell that it has been made with avocado. It is very rich, creamy and my whole family loves it!

Step 1: Ingredients and Supplies


  • 3 avocados
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup almond milk (If you are not allergic to dairy products you can use regular milk, which is what I did)
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt


  • Vita-mix
  • Knife
  • Plate
  • Spoon
  • 1/3 measuring cup
  • Measuring teaspoon
  • A Pyrex liquid measuring cup

Step 2: Prepare the Avocados

Cut the avocados in half, take the pits out and spoon the avocado out on to the plate.

Step 3: Combine Everything

Combine all the ingredients in the vita-mix.


Taste it and if you want it sweeter and add more syrup.

If the consistency is too thick then add more milk.

You may have to mix it with a spoon a little so it doesn't get all clogged up in the bottom of your vita-mix.

Mix it each time you add something, so everything gets combined.

You want it to be nice, smooth, and creamy.

Step 4: Put in a Container

Spoon everything into a container and put it in the freezer for a few hours.

You can also chill it in the fridge for an hour if you want to eat it like mousse.

Step 5: Done!

Once it becomes hard, spoon it out just like ice cream and put in bowls. It is really good with vanilla ice cream.
