My almost 3 year old grandson love’s the shows “Shaun the Sheep” and its spin off “Timmy Time”. Both are programs from the UK and are available on Netflicks. When he is tired or not feeling well, he will ask for Shaun the Sheep or Little Timmy. That is how I learned who they are, by watching them with my grandson. Here is my pattern and the directions on how to create an amigurumi “Little Timmy”.

Step 1:

Supplies:
4 ply worsted yarn black
4 ply worsted yarn white
Scrap of orange yarn
Scrap of yellow yarn
2 – 20 mm Google eyes
A white button (if you want a little sticker to put on the back of the button)
Size G crochet hook
Yarn needle
Polyester batting for (stuffing the body parts)
E-6000 glue
Scissors
Something with which to mark the rounds (I have the little green safety pin like marker)
This is not a beginner’s pattern, but more like a medium beginner’s range of skill. These are the stitches and techniques you will need to know. I will not be teaching them in this Instructable, but I will include links to where you can learn how to use them, if you don’t already know them.

Step 2:

This baby sheep is done mostly in rounds, (the body, legs, head and tail), which means that instead of start and finishing each round, you just move on to the next round with its first stitch. This is why it is really important to mark the first stich of each round. You need to know where the first stitch is, on each round. This first stitch does not stay in the same place because of the increases and decreases that may or may not occur in each round. The ears are done in back and forth rows, while the binky is done as an oval. The binky handle is braided. Stuff the body parts as you go along, this makes it a lot easier.

Step 3:

Body: Use the white yarn. The ls is a little difficult to get used to, but with practice (which this project will give you) it becomes easier. Also, the ls is worked from the inside so that the loops are on the outside.

R 1 – With a magic ring, crochet 6 sc. Put the marker in the first sc.
R 2 – 2 ls in each of the next 6 st – 12 st. (After you have done the first ls, move the marker from the first stitch below and into the first stitch of this new round. Repeat this every round.)
R 3 – [2 ls in first stitch, ls in next stitch] 6 times – 18 st
R 4 – [2 ls in first stitch, ls in next 2 stitches] 6 times – 24 st
R 5 – [2 ls in first stitch, ls in next3 stitches] 6 times – 30 st
R 6 – [2 ls in first stitch, ls in next 6 stitches] 6 times – 36 st
R 7 – 11 (5 rounds) ls in each stitch around – 36 st
R 12 – [ls2tog, ls in the next 5 stitches] 6 times – 30 st
R 13 – [ls2tog, ls in the next 4 stitches] 6times – 24 st
R 14 – [ls2tog, ls in the next 3 stitches] 6 times – 18 st
R 15 – [ls2tog, ls in the next 3 stitches] 6 times – 12 st (If you haven’t already, now it a good time to stuff the body. Stuff it firm.)
R 16 – ls2tog all the way around – 6 st
R 17 – ls2tog all the way around – 3 st
FO and leave a 12 inch tail of yarn

Step 4:

Tail: Use white yarn, and DO NOT stuff it.
R 1 – with a magic right, crochet 4 sc, put the marker in the first sc.
R 2 – 2sc in each of the next 4st – 8 st
R 3 – 5 ( 5 rounds) sc in each stitch all the way around – 8 st
FO and leave a 12 inch tail of yarn

Step 5:

Head: Use the black yarn
R 1 – With a magic ring, crochet 6 sc. Put the marker in the first sc.
R 2 – 2sc in each of the next 6 st – 12 st
R 3 – [2sc in first stitch, sc in next stitch] 6 times– 18 st
R 4 – [2sc in first stitch, sc in next 2 stitches] 6 times – 24 st
R 5 – 9 (4 rounds) sc in each stitch around – 24 st
R 10 – [sc2tog in first stitch, sc in next 2 stitches] 6 times – 18 st
R 11 – [sc2tog in first stitch, sc in next stitch] 6 times – 12 st
R 12 – sc2tog in each stitch all the way around – 6 st
R 13 – sc2tog in each stitch all the way around – 3 st
FO and leave a 12 inch tail of yarn

Step 6:

Legs: Use the black yarn and make 4 of them.
R 1 – with a magic right, crochet 6 sc, put the marker in the first sc.
R 2 – 2sc in each of the next 6st – 12 st
R 3 – sc2 together 6 times – 6 st
R 4 – 8 (5 rounds) sc in each stitch around – 8 st
FO and leave a 12 inch tail

Step 7:

Ears: Use the black yarn. Make 2.
Row 1 – ch 4 stitches
Row 2 –3 (2 rows) sc in the second chain from the hook, sc to the end, ch 1 and turn – 3st
Row 4 – 1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc, ch 1 and turn – 4 st
Row 5 – sc to the end, ch 1 and turn – 4 st
Row 6 – 2sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc, ch 1 and turn – 5 st
Row 7 – sc to the end, ch 1 and turn – 5 st
Row 8 – 2sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 2sc, ch 1 and turn – 6 st
Row 9 – sc to the end, FO

Step 8:

Binky: Use scrap orange yarn
Row 1 – ch 4 st
Row 2 – in second chain from the hook, sc, sc next stitch, 3 sc in next stitch. Go around the end and start back on the bottom side of the chain, sc 2 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch
Row 3 – 2sc in the first stitch, sc in each stitch, until you reach the stitch in the center of the other end, in that stitch do 2 sc. Sc the next 4 stitches, then ss the last one. FO.

Step 9:

Binky Handle: Scrap yellow yarn

Take 3 – 4 inch pieces of yellow yarn. Tie a knot in one end and braid the three pieces together. Tie a knot in the other end. Use the crochet hook and pull the knots through the orange base of the binky.

Step 10:

Here we are with all the pieces ready to be put together. Cut off or weave in the extra ends except the one you will use to sew the body parts on to the body.

Look at the finished picture and place the legs on the body so that they are pointing forward like he is sitting down.

Step 11:

Use a whip stitch to attach each leg to its appointed place, two on the bottom and two more on top.

Step 12:

Whip stitch the head to the top of the body. Next attach the ears to the side of the head so that they hang down

Step 13:

Whip stitch the tail on to the back of his sit down.

Step 14:

Glue on the eyes placing them just above where a nose would be and right next to each other.

Glue the binky in place. Glue the white button in between the arms of the handle. Stick the sticker (if you have one) on the back of the button. I sewed the binky on twice and it just didn’t look right. I used glue because I wanted the binky to look like Timmy would pop that thing out and hand it to him Mum, as he walks into preschool. Done! I’m proud of you! Enjoy.
