Introduction: 10 Tips for Hiking in the Pyrenees
Step 1: PACK THE ESSENTIALS
1. Navigation: Topographic Map, Application like Alpify, ActiveTurist
2. Sun Protection: Sunglasses, Sunscreen, and Hat
3. Extra Clothing for Coldest Possible Weather
4. Phone and Portable Charger
5. Headphones
6. Nutrition
7. Hydration
Step 2: RESEARCH AND SELECT a GOOD TRAIL
Learn about the trail so you will know the route, where to start, and degree of difficulty. Pick a distance you can handle. If you’re more technologically-inclined, you can download the itineraries to your GPS device.
Step 3: DON'T BE TOO AMBITIOUS
Compare your level of fitness, ability, and experience with the trail description. Be practical and realistic. There are a wide variety of trails in Andorra, so pick one that suits your level.
Step 4: TELL OTHERS ABOUT YOUR PLANS
Let someone know which trail you plan to hike on, and when you expect to return. Download Safe365, the safety app that allows users to send their exact location to rescue teams in the event of an emergency.
Step 5: CHOOSE SHOES
No question, boots are a hiker's most critical gear. The right pair will help you glide down the trail with a smile on your face. Treat your feet to quality footwear.
Step 6: DRESS FOR THE TRAIL WITH THE LAYER SYSTEM
Plan your layers for the coldest weather you could possibly encounter on your hike. Wear fabrics that wick and dry quickly like merino wool and synthetic materials, always avoid cotton. Even in warm weather, the top of a windy peak can feel pretty cold if you're sweaty from the hike up, so pack a layer to wear while you enjoy the view.
Step 7: HIKE WITH OTHER
Solo hikes are great, but your first outing will be more enjoyable if you bring friends. A more experienced friend can lead the way, but even if everyone is a newbie there is safety in numbers.
Step 8: STAY ON THE MARKED HIKING TRAIL
All paths are duly marked thanks to a variety of indications, ranging from painted marks to wooden signposts.
Step 9: PRACTICE THE PRINCIPLES OF LEAVE NO TRACE
Next to bringing the 7 Essentials, practicing Leave No Trace principles is the most important thing to do on your hike. Don't litter, pick wildflowers, or leave the trail and trample vegetation. If you see garbage pick it up, basically leave the trail better than you found it.
Step 10: HAVE FUN!
Lastly, "Hike Your Own Hike." Enjoy the trail at your own pace, hike as far as you want, take breaks when you want, and don't feel the need to keep up with the trail runner that just sprinted up the switchbacks ahead of you. Hiking should be an escape from the pressures and competition of everyday life.

for hiking in France, look at the "GR"

Thanks,
I know that GR7 path goes through the territory of Andorra, it covers around 45 km. It enters the country from France through Portella Blanca (alt. 2,521) and crosses the principality to Catalonia, dropping out of Andorra through the Farga de Moles (alt. 850).
Benvingut!

Nice fotos! Good inputs on safety.
Also, if you ever come to switzerland, download the REGA-App which is basically Safe365 for the swiss Air-Rescue Switzerland
A big "THANKS!" for the support and spreading of "no trace!". See a nice wildflower or a stunning mountainside? Here, your small Compact-Camera comes really handy as your cellphone-Cam most the time suks in making great macro-shots or zoom-fotos.
