Introduction: Apple Pie Poke Cake
'Tis the season for delicious cakes! This apple pie poke cake is easy to make and a hit with everyone!
Step 1: Gather All Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients:
1 white cake
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
4 cups of apples, diced
1/4 cup of water
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 box (3.4 oz) Instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cup of milk
1 tsp of cinnamon
12 oz whipped topping, thawed
Step 2: Prepare White Cake
prepare white cake as normal
Step 3: Dice Up Apples
In a large bowl, dice up 4 cups of apples of your choice
Step 4: Apple Mixture
In a skillet, add water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Boil to a medium heat until bubbling and then add the diced apples.
Step 5: Where the "poke" Comes in
When cake is done baking, poke holes throughout the whole cake.
Step 6: Grab the Condensed Milk
While the cake is still warm, pour the condensed milk over the cake.
Step 7: Apple Mix
Pour apple mix over cake and spread evenly throughout. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or overnight.
Step 8: Pudding Time
While cake is refrigerating, add pudding mix with milk and cinnamon
Step 9: Cool-Whip
Add cool whip into the pudding
Step 10: Cool-Whip Spread
When cake is finally cooled, spread pudding whip mix over the cake
Step 11: Enjoy!
