Introduction: Fun 'Virus' Prank
In this 'ible I am going to show you how to make a fake virus (shutdown shortcut) and make it very realistic!
This has worked on many of my friends which has created many laughs.
Step 1:
The only tool you need for this ible is a Memory stick, and a computer. :)
the memory stick is intirelly optional bu you can put the fake virus file on it then go to a friends house and load it on their pc while they arent looking. it takes less than a minute!
Step 2: Step 1 Creating
This step you are going to create the 'virus' :)
First your going to........
Right click the main screen>then click new> and press shortcut.
Step 3: Step 2 Still Creating!
Now your going to type: shutdown -s -t 60 -c "Type your message here"
60 is 1 minute until it shuts down but you can change the time to any number you want.
"Type your message here" just like what it says. I put : "WARNING YOUR COMPUTER HAS ENCOUNTERED A FATAL ERROR. SHUTING DOWN IN ONE MINUTE......."
Note: LEAVE THE QUOTATION MARKS THERE OR IT WONT WORK!
After puting in your message Input the name of the 'virus' I put ' RAM.
Step 4: Step 4 Changing the Icon
Now right click the file you made and then click "properties" >then "change icon" and click the little microchip as the picture or what ever you want it to be.
Step 5: Finished!
Yay you made a fake virus to freak out your friends or even family members!
Step 6: OR......
if you want.....you can make it look like someones folder or file that you know they use alot!
heres how.......follow the pics.
Step 7: Finished
YOU DID IT!!!

I got a computer virus a few months ago and it left shortcuts to naughty websites all over my desktop. It might sound more like a virus if you do that....

Did this to Dad recently (just for fun) and watched him completely freak out. My message: "Processor damaged. System is shutting down." and set my time to 20 seconds. Not enough time to do a shutdown -a at all.

I also replaced a friend's game shortcut with one that said: "Out of resources, deleting Windows and shutting down." with a 10 second shutdown time. Of course, I didn't have it do anything else but shut down the computer, but the panic was hilarious.
