Architectural Model 001

This model is my first Instructable.

I took a quick hand-drawn sketch, explored it three-dimensionally in the computer, then built it using foam core and chip board.

At the architecture firm that I work at, we are always turning pen on paper sketches in to spatial constructs.

At its most pragamtic, this study model could be seen as a concept for the plan or elevation of a building. At its most abstract, it represents the solid-void relationships between intersecting trains of thought. The contrast between horizontal and vertical is important here.
