Introduction: Arduino Alarm - by Sissi

Motivation:

This is a special alarm that you needs to do something specific to turn off the alarm. The reason why I want to make this project is that when some people hear the noise of alarm they will only turn off the alarm or set it again, but still can't get up, so I decided to made this alarm clock to avoid the delay when people getting up.

Description (How it work?) :

When you click the start button the speaker will start to make noise for 30 seconds(Just for simulation), after two seconds the four LED bulbs will light up in sequence. The user needs to use four buttons to discharge the order that LED bulbs light up. If you press the wrong button, the speaker will make noise until the end.

Step 1: Materials

There are the materials that you need for circuits :

  • Arduino Leonardo Softwarex1
  • Arduino Boardx1
  • Breadboardx1
  • Arduino Cable x1
  • LED bulb(4 different colors) x4
  • Button(1 for start the alarm, 4 for the game) x5
  • Speaker x1
  • Jumper wires x8
  • Yellow resistors x4
  • Blue resistors x5
  • wires x25

There are the materials that you need for the case :

  • Pencil x1
  • Utility knife x1
  • Hot melt adhesivex1
  • A4 aircraft wood chip (personal needs)x4

Step 2: The Code

This is the code of Arduino Alarm, Click the link and download the code to see the detailed information :

Step 3: Set Up the Circuit

Look at the picture and set up the circuit!

Step 4: Make a Case for Your Project

  1. Get all the materials ready.
  2. Use the utility knife to cut the first Aircraft wood chip into 00x00 size for the bottom of the case.
  3. Cut the second Aircraft wood chip into 00x00 size for two times to make the length of the two sides of the case.
  4. Cut the third Aircraft wood chip into 00x00 size for two times to make the width of the two sides of the case.
  5. Dig a hole on the left side of the width for the Arduino cable to connect to your device.
  6. Dig a hole on the right side of the width for the speaker to come out.
  7. Cut the fourth Aircraft wood chip into 00x00 size to make the top of the case.
  8. Dig five holes on the fourth Aircraft wood chip to settle the five button.
  9. Dig four small holes on the fourth Aircraft wood chip for four LED bulbs.
  10. Use the hot melt adhesive to stick the button, two sides side of the length and width, and top of the case.
  11. Put your Arduino board into the case, then you are ready to go!

Step 5: Video

First video: first test / if it successful

Second video: second test / if it successful

Third video; third test / if it fails

Step 6: Finish!!!!!!

You are finished! Enjoy your time with this "Alarm" !
