Introduction: Arduino Led Mood Cube (Small) (Video Included)

Going to show you how to make a small Led mood cube with a arduino.

This is good for beginners, and people who dont have access to RGB led's yet.
video on the last step, watch to see what it will look like

Step 1: Supplies

You will need:

Arduino - ( I have an uno But I dont think it will make a difference.)

Arduino power supply/usb cable

Protosheild -(or breadboard)

Jumper wires

Red Led X 1
Green Led X1
Blue Led X1

1 resistor for each Led = 3 resistors

Paper folded into square cube as a cover

Step 2: Set Up

First, put the proto sheild on. / get breadboard.

Then put the Red Led on the left, Green in the middle, and blue on the right. close together.

Bend them down so that the paper cube will fit over them later.

Add the resistors. ( I had stronger ones on the red and blue because the green was a smaller led ) ( I didnt have a led the same size)
Best to make them equal though.

I also bent them down

Connect resistors to ground using jumper wires,

Then connect the red Led , to pin 9
The green to 10
The blue to 11.

Place the paper cube over the lights (I used more jumper wires to hold it in place.)

Step 3: Code

Use the sketch from this website :

http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ColorCrossfader

I find it works great.

Then upload to your arduino.

Step 4: Voila!

There you have it.

Heres a video of how mine looked. pretty sweet.
