The kitchen window needs to be open sometimes, but the window handle is not esay to access. I made an extension to open it without having to climb up on a chair...

Supplies

Materials :

  • PVC

Tools :

  • drill
  • large drill bit
  • metal saw
  • marker
  • meter

Step 1: Tracing

  • Measure the handle and report it on the PVC:
  • handle deepth
  • handle width
  • Make 2 marks on the PVC :
  • a notch on one side
  • a hole on the opposite

Measurments were made on an accessible window of the house with the same handle.

Step 2: Cuting

  • Make the snotch with the metal saw :
  • saw the 2 sides fully
  • saw a furrow on the extremity
  • and push to remove the piece
  • Make sure the handle suits
  • With the drill and the large bit, make the hole

Step 3: Open the Window Easily

Arm extension is ready !
