Intro: BOO-BOO BUNNIES

If you have a toddler then this is a great project to do with them. It will even help your little ones too. Boo-boo bunnies are soft little bunnies the serve as and ice pack. All of the pictures that are on this instructable are from familycrafts.about.com

STEP 1: MATERIALS

What you need:
a wash cloth or wash rag any size or color
a rubber band
a sharpie

(optional)
a ribbon
googly eyes (if you decide to use the googly eyes you will need glue also)
2 pom-poms

STEP 2: ROLL THE WASH CLOTH

Put the wash cloth on any hard surface shaped like a diamond. Then take the top corner and roll it as tight as possible to the bottom corner. Like in the picture below.

STEP 3: FOLD THE WASH CLOTH

Now fold the two ends and place next to each other. Like in the picture below.

STEP 4: FOLD THE WASH CLOTH AGAIN

Now fold it the same way again. Like in the picture below.

STEP 5: FORMING THE HEAD

Now hold the wash cloth tightly and place the rubber band around the round fold on the wash cloth. Like in the picture below.

STEP 6: FORM THE EARS

Just "fluff" out the ears that are on the back of the bunny. It should look like the picture after your done.

STEP 7: ADD THE FACE AND DECORATE

Here comes the fun part. Now get out your sharpie or googly eyes and glue. (which ever one you chose) You will also need your ribbon if you wanted one. Now you can glue the eyes to the head or draw them with a sharpie, and if you want it to have a mouth then draw that too. If you have a ribbon, tie that around the rubber band to make it look good. Glue one pom-pom on the face as a nose. You can also glue the other pom-pom on the back for a tail.

STEP 8: HOW TO USE YOUR BUNNY

If you plan on using your bunny as an ice cube holder, then i reccomend that you use a plastic refreezable ice cube so it isn't drippy. All you do is put the ice cube in it`s "belly" and hold tightly over the "boo boo". These also make perfect baby shower gifts!

STEP 9: THE BOO BOO BUNNY POEM

If a boo boo has you feeling crummy,
Stick an ice cube in my tummy.
Hold it to your boo boo tight,
Soon everything will be all right!

We had these years ago and used a plastic Easter egg in the middle to hold the ice cube.

As I do not have the knack for making one, where can I buy one. Is there a store in Edmonton that carries these? Thank you

Just found this instruct able, bought a similar bunny with baby soap in the middle at a craft fair a few years ago & couldn't remember how to do it. Love the boo boo option - I work in a school & have many boo boos to fix. Think even the big "tough" grade 6 boys might smile at this one! Going to get a parcel of flannels in the morning ready for Monday!
We made these for easter at our school!
Thanks again. I'm going to try and make some of these for a baby shower. I might make some in pink and blue as well as your pretty white.
Oh! I understand now. I found the exact set of instructions and pictures at this link

Do you write for that site too?
No but I learned how to do it in school and verified my instructions n the wesbsite that I listed
So ...do you place the ice cube in the cloth and then make up the bunny? ( Sorry to be so daft.) Or does the icecube slide in once the bunny is made. I'm not comprehending a lot of what I've been reading lately. It's a little concerning. It is very cute! thanks for posting the Instructable.
A couple of years ago, I took a pile of washcloths, rubber bands, some bingo markers, some sharpies, glue sticks and some cotton balls to an Easter Egg Hunt. Children (starting at 2 yrs old) decorated the washcloths with bingo markers, parents and helpful teenagers folded them into bunnies then the kids glued on the cotton tails and made dots for eyes. A plastic egg filled with candy fit perfectly in the bunny and each child had a souvenir favor to take home for a decoration. Everyone had a ball and best of all, adults and children were doing it together.
Thank you for all the nice comments! If you think this instructable is good, then leave ideas for other instructables in my inbox and i will see what i can do.
