Introduction: BSX (Bike Scooter Cross)
The aim of the BSX project was to produce a fun, neat little vehicle that proves the potential of a Bike/Scooter hybrid. I believe there is a gap in the market for a folding/pocket bike that is rugged enough to withstand tricks and also have a cool visual appeal. I spent far more time and money on the project than intended, but I didn't want to compromise on any part of it! Im delighted with the finished bike. I think it looks cool and most importantly It's extremely fun to mess around on!
The Bike is made from a host of dissasembled micro-scooters for the head tube and neck, a childs balance bike for the pneumatic 10" wheels and fork. BMX bars and grips slightly cut down. 140mm cranks with 52T chainring and 16T freewheel. Magnesium pedals (yes I had a "money no object" moment!). The frame is 4mm laser cut alu sheet designed in 2D CAD (2 pieces joined with two lengths of alu box section top and bottom)

how did you manage to mate the rear cog to the wheel of a balance bike?

The balance bike had a drum style brake on the rear wheel. This conveniently unscrewed to leave a threaded circle attached to the hub. Conveniently again, the thread accepted a 16T freewheel!

This is great! How does it feel to ride? (Also, you should enter it into the Bicycle Contest: https://www.instructables.com/contest/bicycle/)

Thanks SMB! My aim was to make the ride position identical to pedalling a bmx without a seat (stand up position). Since it's a street/skate park vehicle I felt it didn't really need a seat (like some trials bikes). It is not designed for riding long distances, however it feels comfortable and stable to get around on. I will try and get some action shots up soon

This thing looks like a ton of fun, and I really like how "production ready" it looks (besides the missing brake I guess, any ideas on implementing that? or is it fixed gear?).
I would love to see some video of it in action. It's hard to judge the scale, but it looks to me like you would be bending over quite a lot to reach the bars.

I think it would work great with a small disc brake on the back wheel as it does freewheel. The ride position is identical to riding out of the saddle on a BMX. Im 6"5" so I'm probably not the best person to demo it! but I'll put a vid up soon.
