Hello Everyone!!


Back to school season is here, and so is this cool instructable! which I will be sharing with you.

We all know that getting back to school and colleges can get hectic, especially when you are managing so many things altogether, keeping track of the classes, getting all the assignments done on time, studying for exams, its all too much! right? one more things adds over it which is keys!! we have so many keys to take care of- dorm keys, locker keys, bicycle keys and so on.

We all face challenges to keep track of our keys so we don't loose them. and to better organize them we use keychains!

So, i decided to get creative with keychains and designed this amazing Thor's Hammer keychain on fusion 360 which you can 3D print and keep all your keys together, safe and sound!

Supplies

  • Autodesk Fusion 360
  • 3D Printer and filament

Attachments

Step 1: Modeling the Body

  • To Design the basic shape of the hammer I used basic modeling tools like extrude and cut to design the cuboidal shape of the hammer's head and cylindrical extrude to make the handle.
  • I added fillets and chamfers to smoothen the edges and give it a more realistic feel
  • For detailing, I added swirling cuts to the handle and added the belt at the end of the handle using curve tool

Step 2: Handle Grooves and Belt

  • For making the handle groves I used the coil tool with a square profile and new body settings.
  • For making the belt I used the Sweep tool using a rectangular profile and then sweeping it through a guided spleen and then attached it to the hammer
  • I also added a hole at the bottom of the handle for the keychain ring to be attached.

Step 3: Final Renders

  • Guys, we're done! Here are some cool renders of the finished product. Now You can 3D print the design attached keychain ring and keys and you have your own personalized Thor hammer keychain.
