Bacon Wrapped Apple Roasted Dove
Intro: Bacon Wrapped Apple Roasted Dove
This is a very simple recipe for a very delicious bird. With four ingredients you can't get much better.
What you'll need:
- A dove breast
- An apple
- Bacon
- Seasoning
- Toothpicks
Preheat oven to 350°
STEP 1: Prep
Peel one half of the apple and cut out a good slice. Place the breast on it and use a toothpick to hold it in place.
Sprinkle your seasoning over the breast and apple (I used Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning but any non salt seasoning can be used. Use what you have or what you like!)
Use a piece of bacon to wrap the breast and apple. Hold the bacon in place with toothpicks.
STEP 2: Cook and Enjoy!
Put it in a pan or on a pan and place it in the oven for 15-20 minutes until done. Serve warm and enjoy!!

I didn't. But it should be fine if you cook it low enough and don't over cook it.

This sounds really good, I've never had dove before, how does it taste?

I will have to try it sometime! The only wild game I've tried is venison (and wild fish, I guess, but I don't know if that counts, haha) which I love.
