Introduction: Bacon Wrapped Onion Pineapple and Mozzarella Cheese Rings.

If you have a hot grill then you will love these bacon wraps. This is an activity than can be done while sitting around with family and friends.

Step 1: The Ingredients List

This is what you will need

1 large yellow onion

4 cheese sticks

1 can of pineapple rings

1 package of bacon

Step 2: Putting Together Your Onion Bacon Wrap

Cut your onion like you are making onion rings. Carefully separate the rings and set aside. Save your best four onions rings. Tear open a cheese stick and split it down the middle. Take 1/2 of the cheese stick and place it inside of the onion one side. Take the other 1/2 of the remaining cheese stick and place that on the other side of the onion.

Place the pineapple on top of the onion with the cheese stick in it. Then open up the packet of bacon and take out one strip and start to wrap the bacon around the onion with the cheese and pineapple. Continue this until the bacon is covered. Repeat this 3 more times and set aside. Sprinkle the bacon appetizers with your favorite bbq rub.

Step 3: Step 3: Place the Bacon Wraps on a Hot Indirect Grill

Place the bacon wraps and place it on a hot indirect grill. I love it when I can smell the smoked bacon getting toasty from the grill. Cook for 30 minutes at 400F. Take them off the grill after cooking and let them cool for 5 minutes and then cut and serve. Serve the bacon wheels with marinara sauce. We found this recipe on slapyodaddybbq.
