Introduction: Baked Corn Puppies
Corn on the cob Skewers (cut into 2 inch pieces)
Hot dogs (cut into 1 inch pieces)
Mini muffin pan
No-stick spray
Batter
1 cup flour
3/4 cup corn meal
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp dry mustard powder
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
Steps
1. Mix batter ingredients until smoth.
2. Fill muffin pan 3/4 to top of each.
3. Place skewered 1" length hot dog pieces in center of each muffin.
4. Bake in pre-heated oven at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Help each puppy out of muffin pan and provide him with either mustard or ketchup.

Skewer 1" pups with sticks
Step 3: Mix Ingredients and Fill Muffins 3/4 Full

This looks nice, and, as a Brit, I'd be tempted to try the "on a stick" format with small toads-in-the-holes.
