Here's another great easy recipe for you to enjoy. Baked Sweet Sour Chicken. Take this to your next potluck. I make it all the time because it doesn't require a deep fryer and the clean up is easy. Step 1: Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Breasts, cubed
  • 1 inch 1/2 Cup Cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce

Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Medium Mixing Bowl x2
  • Whisk
  • Deep Baking Dish
  • Oven
  • Large Spoon
  • Gloves if you got them

Step 2: Season and Add Cornstarch

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Season chicken in a medium sized bowl with the salt, pepper and garlic. Give it a stir.

Mix in the cornstarch with your hands or a pair of tongues, wear gloves if you have them. If not be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after dealing with the chicken.

Step 3: Mix in Eggs

Mix in your whisked eggs throughly in the same manner as the cornstarch and remember the hand washing.

Step 4: Brown Chicken in a Pan

In a large pan, heat up some vegetable oil at medium heat and lay the chicken in evenly. Brown on both sides and transfer to a baking dish.

Step 5: The Sauce

Now in another medium sized bowl whisk together your ketchup with the vinegar, sugar, soya sauce, garlic and ginger.

Step 6: Mix in Sauce and Bake

Pour your sauce over the chicken and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Step 7: Enjoy
