Introduction: Baked on the Grill Brownies With Strawberries Dessert

About: Cooking-Outdoors was established in 2008 and has grown exponentially since. I am the host of “Cooking Everything Outdoors” featured on iTunes and YouTube and I am regularly featured on the Outdoor Cooking Chan…
Originally I tried pouring the brownies mixture right on the grates, but that didn’t work out as planned …. just kidding. I do love baking on my barbecue grill and this recipe is about as easy as they get but looks like a fancy restaurant style dessert. Piled high with brownies, strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles, looking so good that you don’t want to eat it but once you do you can’t stop. Perfect for the camp chef to quickly put together and make all the other campground campers so jealous they might riot. Yep, that good!

Step 1: Step 1

I used two 8.5 inch x 8.5 inch aluminum baking trays for my recipe. Saved me the trouble of slicing the brownie in half to make two pieces. - See more at: http://www.cooking-outdoors.com/baked-on-the-grill-brownies-with-strawberries-dessert.

Step 2: Step 2

Mix the your brownie mix per the package instructions or make from scratch. I used Bob’s Red Mill Brownie Mix, pour half of brownie mixture into each oiled baking tray.

Step 3: Step 3

Pre-heat your barbecue grill to 350° F indirect heat. I am using a gas grill for mine but charcoal briquets with work perfectly for this recipe.

Step 4: Step 4

Bake for approximately 15 minutes depending on your heat output. I started checking my brownies at the 10 minute mark with a toothpick inserted into the center.

If it comes out wet = not done!

Let cool and trim to plate size if required.

Step 5: Step 5

Wash and cut your fresh strawberries to size. I sliced them to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Step 6: Step 6

Now it’s time to slather on some whipping cream and strawberries!

Using one layer of brownies spread whipping cream, strawberries, then whipping cream.

Step 7: Step 7

Add the final brownie and repeat!

Sprinkle with some chocolate shavings for added yumminess!

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did … I ate way to much!
