Barbecued Garlic Shrimp

Introduction: Barbecued Garlic Shrimp

About: huge geek with a creative drive and too much free time

In honor of having 20 followers, I am putting together a BBQ Extravaganza, which includes this delicious shrimp and grilled chicken legs that I will post soon. Anyways, this is my dad's recipe for shrimp and I absolutely love it! It's any seafood lover's dream dish, trust me. Well, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

For this delicious shrimp, you will need...
•Raw Shrimp
•Minced Garlic
•Spices of Your Choice
•2 TBSP Butter

Step 2: Skewer It

To begin, push a skewer through the raw shrimp. Put on about four to six (4-6) shrimp, because you don't want them to be crowded or undercooked.

Step 3: A Supporting Skewer

Then push another skewer through the other side of the shrimp. Before you added a second skewer, the shrimp were flimsy and unsupported. The second skewer will prevent this.

Step 4: Make a Lot

Keep putting shrimp on skewers until you have enough shrimp.

Step 5: Charcoal

Put some lump charcoal into a charcoal chimney and heat it up. Keep an eye on it, because you do not want the charcoal to overheat.

Step 6: Melting the Butter

I'm pretty sure every human being knows how to melt butter, but just in case you don't know, I'll tell you how. Place the two (2) TBSP (tablespoons) of butter into a glass bowl. Then, to prevent the butter from exploding all over your microwave, place some plastic wrap over it and put it in your microwave for 30 seconds.

Step 7: The Sauce

Combine the following ingredients to make a sauce for your shrimp:
•Salt and Pepper Mixture
•Melted Butter
•Minced Garlic
Stir these ingredients together and spread the mixture onto your shrimp.

Step 8: Adding the Charcoal

Carefully put the hot charcoal into your grill. Please be careful, because if one falls on you, it will be PAINFUL! If you would like to add some of the wood chips shown. That part is optional, of course.

Step 9: Spreading the Sauce

Use a baster to spread the sauce on the shrimp. My dad couldn't find his, so he evenly spread the sauce with a spoon.

Step 10: Ready to Go!

Now your shrimp is ready to go on your grill.

Step 11: Onto the Grill

Now carefully place your shrimp on the grill.

Step 12: Nice and Tender

Make sure that you minister the amount of time your shrimp is on the grill. If not, you may either burn them or undercook them.

Step 13: Ready to Eat!

Now you can enjoy your shrimp any way you'd like to! Shrimp is my favorite seafood, so this was one of the greatest dishes that I have ever enjoyed! Thank you so much for viewing and enjoy!
