Introduction: Beautiful Thread Earrings

Want to make beautiful earrings at home? But not the same old designs?!!

You are at the right place!!

I am here with a not so common but a really pretty design which I am sure you will love!

This instructable will teach you how to make these beautiful earrings easily at home with minimum and easily available items!!


Supplies

  1. Threads of two different colors.
  2. White thin rope.
  3. Fabric glue.
  4. Earring hooks and rings.

Definitely you need scissors!

Step 1: Preparing Thread Hanging

  1. Wind one of the threads 120 times to a piece of cardboard or any such material.
  2. Hold all the threads together and cut it.
  3. Glue one end of the thread bundle using fabric glue.

The thread after cutting and gumming should look something like fourth image above. Let it dry.

Step 2: Making Knot on the Rope

Take the white thin rope. Now we have to tie a knot. Follow the procedure in the video above to get it done.

Step 3: Inserting the Thread Hanging

  1. Put the thread prepared in Step 1 across the lowermost part of the knotted rope prepared in Step 2.
  2. Tie both front and back parts using a different color thread.
  3. Wind the same thread for about 25 turns, tie another knot and glue them. 



Step 4: Adding Multiple Hangings

Repeat step 3 until the bottom most line of the upper white knot is totally covered.

You can add as many hangings as you like! I chose to go with five.

Step 5: Inserting the Hook

  1. Insert the earring hook and ring from the free end of the top rope.
  2. Tie both ropes together on the back side using fabric glue. Cut extra rope.

Step 6: Shaping the Hangings

Cut the thread hangings to a desired height and desired shape.

Step 7: Rocking Your New Earrings

Make a pair and wear!!
