Introduction: Beef Burgundy With Noodles
In this instructable, I will show you how to make Beef Burgundy with Noodles using your slow cooker.
Step 1: Ingredients
For this recipe, you will need:
2 lbs lean beef stew meat
1 8oz pkg of egg noodles
1 onion
3 c sliced carrots
6 tbsp all purpose flour
1/4 c tomato paste
3/4 c beef broth
1/2 c zinfandel
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp rosemary
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp thyme leaves
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 8oz pkg of mushrooms
Step 2: Slice, Cut, Mince
Slice the carrots, cut the onion into big pieces and mince the garlic cloves.
Step 3: Flour It Up
In a large bowl, add the meat and the flour and stir until the beef is coated.
Step 4: Bring Out Your Slow Cooker
Add the beef, mushrooms, garlic carrots and onions to the slow cooker.
Step 5: Now for Those Other Ingredients..
In a large bowl, combine everything else except for the noodles and stir until it's mixed thoroughly.
Step 6: Now Sit Back and Relax...
Pour the liquid mixture into the slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Step 7: Almost Dinner Time!
Prepare the noodles per the instructions on the package.
Step 8: Yum!
Top the noodles with your beef mixture and enjoy!

I always find this sort of dish is best when it is cooked the day before and then reheated. It gives the meat a more unctuous texture

I MADE THIS! And it was fabulous....meat was tender and carrots not overdone. Only thing I did differently was to cook the chopped onions a bit in a frying pan. Just until they were a little soft. My slow cooker experience with poorly cooked onions in slow cooker requires that. This meal is a must for anyone needing a comfort food hit!

Thanks! Yeah, I love onions, but when I make them big like this, it's easier for my picky husband to pick them out ;)
