Introduction: Best Sleeping Bag Warmers
So this is for those nights when your sleeping bag needs to be warmed up a little because your toes are cold. I will admit that this is something most people should know but for those who don't I hope you find it helpful.
Let it be known this is my first time so please bear with me and some constructive criticism is welcomed.
I REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!!!!! THIS IS A HOT AND HEAVY SOLUTION.
SUPPLES
1 dish towel per person
1 camp fire good and hot
1 rock the size of a brick
Step 1: Finding the Rocks and Heating Them
Look around your base camp for a mid-sized rock that is not a conglomerate (ie. not concrete, or brick fragments) If you choose a conglomerate rock it could explode. fine a rock about the size of a brick or the size of your shoe.
After you have found your rocks place them into your fire pit about 6 inches from the base of your fire and leave them there until the fire dies down and you are about to turn in for the night.
Step 2: Wrapping and Placing Rocks
fold your dish towel in half horizontally for a strip and grab your rock, quickly flip it over onto the towel and cover the rock completely and place in the foot of your sleeping bag

Just before turning in on cold nights where I think my sleeping bag may not keep me warm enough (not very often) I just boil some water and put it in my Nalgene container, wrap with a towel and put it at my feet. Also I tend to put my clothes for the next day down by my feet so I don't have to put on very cold clothes the next morning when the temperature is also cold. The clothes and the bottle are a good insulator.

Wouldn't it burn your feet?

No this will not burn your feet if you're careful. Also that's why you wrap them in towels.

Don't use a rock from a river either -- it may have water seeped into cracks and could explode on heating, See any reliable camping source on which rocks to use to build a fireplace.

Thank you so much I forgot about that since I never camp next to a river or the like.
