Introduction: Beveled Characters - Paint.NET

Hey guys,
It's been a while since my last instructable (Nov 08?) on another profile. I lost the password to that account, and get this, the email. Hope I can help some of you with paint.NET tricks and tips! :)

This Instructable will teach you how to make beveled names, letters, any character, symbol, esp (you get the general idea :P) you can think of. Once again, hope I can teach you some neat stuff, even if you aren't looking for it.

All the all maizeful you know, stuff at ROBLOX are wicked in ROBLOX, a crazy user-made world

Step 1: Setting the Stage

Alright, so, right to the point. Make a 420x420 square and make the background transparent (consult the pdn page for help). Start making your letters with the line/curve tool, the primary color black, and the size of the line set at 8. Don't worry about making the lines straight, the bevel part will do that later.

Finish your basic outline.

Step 2: Outline the Edges

Choose a gray color and make the size 4. Outline parts of your design, so they can be a different color than the rest of your characters after we sepia. You MAY use a color other than gray, but I use it for simplicity.

Step 3: Bevel & Color

Use Effects > Noise > Median and adjust Median to curve the edges. Fill in your checkered spaces with a different shade of gray (or another color, if you didn't use gray).

Step 4: Color Away!

Use a Sepia effect and adjust the hue/saturation (Under the Adjustments tab [Do not do the Sepia effect if you used colors other than gray]). Further adjust the Noise if needed.

Step 5: Finished Product

Add glows, radiance, tilt the picture, add shadows, anything. Finish your project, and make it good. Give me links to your finished masterpiece! (Please excuse bad quality, you have to remember I made this instructable in about 20 minutes with typing, uploading, creating, esp. I also didn't really have time to improve the picture quality...)
