Introduction: Binaural Ferrara's Tour

The project is a virtual tour of Ferrara realized with binaural microphones. We pretended to be real tour guides and presented the most important monuments in Ferrara; to realise the recordings we used binaural microphones, that make the listener feel the sounds all around him at 360°, to create a unique experience that makes everyone feel like they are the protagonists of the tour.

Step 1: STORY BOARD

  • choose the monuments
  • choose the order

Step 2: RESEARCH INFORMATION

  • decide what to say about each monument
  • decide who will expose the monuments

Step 3: RECORD VIDEOS

  • record audios and videos separately (to have a better sound); in the documentary we pretend to be a group of friends presenting the city to a new girl who just arrived from Rome


Step 4: EDIT VIDEOS

  • edit each video with the respective audio
  • edit all the videos toghether to create the virtual tour
