Introduction: Bissel ProHeat 2X Revolution Not Spraying! I've Found the Problem!

I've had 2 of these and both have stopped spraying from underneath but not the hose. The first one I took apart and didn't get to the problem area. I had it so torn apart that I threw it away and bought another one. After a few months it stopped spraying too. Here's the solution.

Supplies

Phillips screwdriver and slotted screwdriver for my solution.

Step 1: Take This Off

It just lifts off from the rear. Now is a good time to use the flat plastic tool to clean this out!

Step 2: There Are 2 Screws Here That Have to Come Out.

The right one is a body screw and the one on the left holds the spray adaptor for the hand-held hose.

Step 3: The 2 Side Panels Come Off With Three Small Screws Each.

Remember which side these came from!

Step 4: This Is Under Those Side Panels on Each Side.

Pull them out and remove them, the rollers and the belt.

Notice where the belt goes.

Remember which side they go on.

Step 5: Next Take These 2 Black Strips Off of the Top.

The strip on the left side of the unit (facing it) pops out with a screwdriver carefully inserted under the edge.

The right strip has a small screw on the front underside that must be removed. I left this one out during reassembly.

This side strip is difficult to remove as it must be lifted straight up.

Step 6: Body Screws.

Here you see 6 large holes, three on each side. Remove them.

The one in the front right of the picture should have been removed already. If not, remove it too.

I though at one point I'd have to remove the wheel, hence the yellow star removed. I did NOT remove the wheel.

Step 7: Here's the Problem!

If all the screws are removed, the top lifts off from front to back.

Notice the kinked hose going to the clear sprayer block. These spray down in between the rollers.

My solution was to place a metal hose clamp (automotive store) around the bent plastic and tighten it until the kink is gone. It fits back in very nicely.

Step 8: Reassemble in Reverse.

The belt goes from the small sprocket to the CLOSEST roller. When reassembled properly, both rollers move together.

I thought I needed fine wires to clean out holes, but that wasn't the problem.

I just used the 2 screw drivers.

As with any project I do, there were left over screws. One is a body screw for which the location wasn't found. The small one holds the front end of the right side black strip. I decided to leave that one out in case my solution needs upgrading.

Good luck!
