Box Made From Single Piece of 1x3 Lumber

Small box made from an 8 foot 1x3 lumber

Supplies

1. Piece of pine 8 foot 1x3
2. Saw
3. Wood glue
4. Tape measure
5. Pencil
6. Screws (optional)

Step 1: Measure and Cut Wood

1. Use the tape measure to measure out 7 inch pieces; it should come out to 13 pieces.
2. Cut 13 pieces of wood

Step 2: Glue Bottom of Box

1. Take 3 pieces of wood.
2. Glue 3 of them together on the long side to form the base.

Step 3: Glue Sides of Box

1. Use 2 pieces of wood to build out the sides of the box.
2. Glue them the longitudinally to the 1 inch portions of the base.
3. Optional - add screws to them but it is not necessary.

Step 4: Build Internal Wall

1. Using the final 2 pieces of wood, glue them inside the box to create an internal wall dividing it.
