Introduction: Bright Idea
If you lack inspiration or are constantly coming up dry in the idea department, fear not. You can make your very own Bright Idea.
Step 1: Materials
You will need. Craft wood (found at any hobby store). Light bulb. Silver leafing pen or silver paint. Dremel tool (can also use a hand saw). Hot glue gun.
Step 2: Contruction
Begin by cutting the craft sticks in half. One each for the two part shins and one for the arms and thighs. The shins need to be two part for the extra stability.
Craft stores have something called "woodsies". Usually small round and square scaps of wood. These will be the hands. The feet are made of a woodcraft item called a split robin egg.
Step 3: Painting
Once the wood is cut and sized, begin the painting process. A silver leafing pen works best for me,as it produces a nice shiny silver look and dries very fast. Craft paint or spray paint would also work as well.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
After all the painting is finished, you need to decide how to pose your bright idea. You may want to trim a little here and there so it will stand up and balance better.
Step 5: Inspiration
Hot glue the craft wood together to form the arms and legs. Then glue the arms and legs to the lightbulb legs first, then arms. This will help to balance your new friend.
Now just display your bright idea in an easy to see spot so inspiration is never far away.
