Introduction: Butter Candle
This is cool idea and it can conserve energy. Hope you enjoy.
Step 1: What You Need
A small plate
1 stick of butter
1 toothpick
toilet paper
scissors
knife.
Step 2: What You Do First Is
First take your butter and cut a chunk 2 TBSP off. Now poke a hole through the middle with the tooth pick.
Step 3: The Wick Part 1
For the wick tear a piece of toilet paper off of your roll. now cut it in half then cut it in half again. Now you roll it up.
Step 4: The Wick Part 2
Fold the end part slightly and stick the toothpick in now push the wick and toothpick l down in the hole you made early on in the instrucable and remove the toothpick. rub your fingers in the butter and grease the wick.
Step 5: Now You Light It

Number 1: If the power goes out and you don't have a flashlight or normal candle
Number 2: it smells like butter
Number 3: Because it's fun :)

you can do this using shortening like the bricks of Crisco shortening. those burn a long time.

It does indeed; but that's only if you get the salted version.
For another way of doing so get a can and vegetable oil. Poor the vegetable oil in and get a lid that's over sized or fits good & poke a hole in it big enough to stuff a piece of paper towel or toilet paper in.

If you want it to be scented just get some ectract oil and poor in.
