Intro: Button Bracelets

This is another quick and easy craft and one you might be able to do with just a few supplies from home.

What you need:
Buttons! (I used 2 small button packs from Michaels.)
*It is easier to do this with buttons that have 4 holes!*
Clear, stretch bead and jewelry cord (0.5 mm)

Steps:
1)
Find your buttons and go from there, pull out whatever pattern you might want on your bracelet.

2) Cut enough cord to wrap around your wrist + plenty of slack. You'll be tying knots in the cord so that will make it shorter.
If you have buttons with two holes: you will use one string (and more knots) to make your bracelet.  If you have buttons with 4 holes: you will be using 2 strings to thread the bracelet, one through the top two holes of each button and one through the bottom two holes of each button.

3) One at a time, string your buttons, tying a knot after each. I loop the string through the loops twice, tying a knot in the string after the second loop, then move on to the next button.

4) To finish the bracelet, tie the string into several knots so it will not come undone. You want the bracelet to be a little snug so that the buttons wont roll and slide around, but you also want it to be loose enough so that you don't cut off your circulation!

Enjoy!

Sounds like a winner to me. I plan to try it soon. I want to teach it to my church girls' group of 5-11 year older.
