STEP 1: Ingredients/ Ingredientes

Calatrava bread for 8 people is needed:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 L milk
  • Swiss rolls
  • 125 g of sugar mixed (sugar and brown sugar)
  • canella
  • caramel
  • lemon zest

Pan de Calatrava para 8 personas:

  • 6 huevos
  • 1/2 litro de leche
  • suizos(panecillos dulces)
  • canela
  • caramelo
  • ralladura de limón

STEP 2: Making / Elaboración

  • In a bowl beat 6 eggs
  • Add the sugar to eggs and beat it
  • add 1/2 l milk
  • add a pinch of canella
  • grate the lemon peel
  • Swiss rolls chop and add it
  • remove everything well

  • en un bol batimos 6 huevos
  • añadimos 1/2 l de leche
  • echamos una pizca de canela
  • rallamos cascara de limon
  • desmenuzamos los suizos
  • removemos todo bien

STEP 3: Baked/ Horneado

on a baking dish add a layer of liquid caramel and pour the mixture from the previous step

prepare a tray of water to the cooking water bath and Bake for 1 hour (more or less) to 180 C °

En un recipiente para horno echar una capa de caramelo liquido y echar la mezcla del anterior paso

preparar en una bandeja agua para que se cocine al baño maria durante 1 hora (aproximada) a 180 grados

STEP 4: Presentation / Desmoldar

let cool then unmold, cool in the refrigerator minimum 24 hours and eat it

Dejarlo enfriar , desmoldar y enfriarlo en la nevera minimo 24 horas y solamente falta comerlo

Very tasty looking.

My mother made bread pudding all the time when I was little. We always ate it fresh from the oven, while it was still hot, with milk or sometimes ice cream.

not too sweet is very tasty,I recommend it
