Cappie

This is a picture of my Toy Australian Shepherd that I lost to unknown reasons in August 2010. She was 8 yrs old. She was the joy of my life. I wrote the below in her memory:

Ode to Cappie
Everywhere I go
Everything I do
Fills my mind with memories of you
I look around with eyes filled with tears
My mind takes me back through the years
How you brought me joy and laughter
Then I remember, you are asleep forever after
My heart is broken in two
There isn't much meaning in anything I do
They say I will be whole again in time
But never the way I was, when you were mine
So I cry myself to sleep at night
And I wish with all my might
That I may be with you once again
So I may pet and carress you now and then
But alas I know that it cannot be
For God needed you more then me.
