Introduction: Cardboard Model Jet Plane
In this Instructable, I'm going to show how to make a Model Jet Plane out of cardboard. This can be made easily and quickly at home using simple and easily found things at home like Cardboard,Paper etc...
Supplies
Materials:
- Cardboard
- White Paper
- Hot Glue Sticks
- Some sketch pens and Paints
Tools:
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Rulers
- Pencils
- Paint Brushes
- Paper Cutter
Step 1: Dimensions of the Jet
Dimensions of the Jet are given in the photo's. Use these Dimensions to make the cutouts on the cardboard.
Step 2: Cutouts of Parts of the Jet
Now using the dimensions cut the cardboard you have.
Once you have completed the cutting you will have-
- x1 cutout of main body
- x2 cutouts of the rudders
- x2 cutouts of the front part
- x1 cutout of the back part
- x2 cutout of rectangle (dimensions 1cm x 8cm)
Step 3: Construction
Follow the given steps for construction-
- Join the 2 front parts to the front side the body keeping a distance of about 1cm between them.
- Join the back part to the back side the body.
- Join the 2 rectangles at the bottom of the body at the front side.
- Join the 2 rudders at the back part of the body.

Step 4: Final Steps
- Now use the paper and stick it in front part of the jet. (Refer to the images above, blue circle in the image).
- Also use the paper to make rolls for the Missile launchers. Stick these Missile launchers under the wings of the plane.(Refer to the images above, red circle in the image)
- Use an another paper to make a cone and stick it at the back of the plane as a jet engine. (Refer to the images above, black circle in the image)
Step 5: Paint Your Jet
You have complete freedom to paint the Jet in your way.
But I have painted the front part grey and black for the windshield. I have also drawn some desidns on the wings and also outlined the windshield with white paint.
Step 6: Completed
Now you have completed making a model jet plane.
