Cardboard Shrimp Costume

For technology class I had to create a marine themed cardboard costume for middle schoolers using slotted construction method. We were put into groups and every member had to make a costume. My group chose the theme "Shelled Marine Animals". My marine animal was a shrimp.

P1 1 Front of shrimp
P2 1 Back of shrimp
P3 7 Connecting piece 

Step 1: Side of Shrimp (P1)

Part P1:
1. Draw using a pencil T4 a shrimp that is 12 inches high and 24 inches long.
2. Cut out the shrimp using a utility knife T2.
3. Draw a hole using a pencil T4 that is 6 inches wide and seven inches high
4. Cut the hole out using a utility knife T2.
5. Draw slits that are two inches wide on the top and bottom on the shrimp using a pencil T4.
6. Cut out the slits using a utility knife T2.

Step 2: Side of Shrimp (P2)

Part P2:
1. Draw using a pencil T4 a shrimp that is 12 inches high and 24 inches long using a pencil T4.
2. Cut out the shrimp using a utility knife T2.
3. Draw slits that are two inches wide on the top and bottom on the shrimp using a pencil T4.
4. Cut out the slits using a utility knife T2.

Step 3: Connecters (P3)

Part P3:
1. Trace 7 rectangles that are 2 inches wide and 9 inches long onto the cardboard S1
2. Cut out the rectangles using a utility knife T2

Step 4: Assembly

1. Insert the connecting pieces P3 into the slits of the front of shrimp P1.
2. Place the back on shrimp P2 onto the connecting pieces P3 and front of shrimp P1.
