This would be much better for dogs than cats. Dogs are more accepting, and they need to protection when you walk them across hot pavement.

Seriously, though, instead of melted rubber, I think plasti-dip would work much better. Probably any hardware store will sell you a can for $5-$10. http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip

It was cool that video showed the cat actually walking in those kitten mittens instead of just pulling them off.

FYI - cats sweat through their paws. Also, good luck holding down a cat to put socks on them (especially if they have claws).

day fall right off my cat, and he HATES them with a passion. My laid back cat ran in circles in the living room for 2 1/2 hours trying to get them off when I sewed elastic into them. My poor kitties are scared of all small cloth now.. ?
