The Hostess with the Mostess:

It's so easy to entertain guests at this time of the year with a few staples that you may already have in your home or easily available in the grocery store and without breaking the budget.

This spread has tasty morsels of smoked meat, cheese, vegetarian dips and vegetarian protein; nuts!

A little something for everyone.......

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

1 smoked sausage

1/2 cup cubed marbled cheddar

1 herb crusted goat cheese log

1/2 wheel of any European cheese; Friulano

Babaganoush dip; drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with basil

1 cup cured olives

flavoured crackers; mine are Sundried Tomato Triscuit

Taralli; Italian baked tiny bagel like bread

walnuts; with nut crackers

medjool dates

Drinks:

water, juices, coffee/teas, pop/soda, alcoholic beverages are what you like and can afford

You can choose a variety of any meats, dairy products, dips/spreads, crackers, nuts, dried fruit that you desire!

A good host thinks of everyone and considers any allergies without making those needs obvious so that people feel comfortable while being entertained.
