Introduction: Cheap and Easy Screwdriver Holder.

Make a super cheap / Free Screwdriver holder! I was getting tired of having to root through a bin in order to find a screwdriver, so i made this free to me holder! In this instructable I will walk you through the process to make your own! Let's get started!

Step 1: Get Your Materials!

The only materials you really need for this instructable is a Pool noodle, and a way to mount it. However to get my finished results you'll need the following.

1. Pool Noodle
2. Flat Black (Krylon) Paint
3. Pins
4. Tape measure
5. Drill
6. Zap Straps
7. Knife
8. Screwdriver (Not in Picture)

Step 2: Cutting / Painting the Noodle

Determine where / how you want to mount the holder. I choose to Zap strap it above my repair station for easy access. If the noodle is the correct length already, then leave it as is. However if your need to shorten it just use a knife to cut to length. Once i had the noodle at the length i wanted, i hung it verticle so it could be painted with ease.

Step 3: Add Your Holes

Once you have let your holder dry for a couple hours, find your tape and pins. Lay the holder on a flat surface, and measure 1 1/2 inches from the end, and place your first pin. Continue placing pins every 1 1/2 inches until you reach the end. Next take a screwdriver and punch it through the holder where the first pin is. Keep pulling pins, and punching holes where the pins once marked until no pins remain. 

Step 4: Mounting the Holder

The next step for me was to mount it to a shelf above my workstation. To do this all i did was drill three holes in the bottom of the shelf  big enough to fit my zap straps through. I then place the holder with the holes facing me, and secured it in place using the straps.

Step 5: Add the Screwdrivers

Next once everything is secure add all your screwdrivers! Finished / Completed! The great thing about painting the foam (used neon green) is after you poke the holes it's easy to see where they go back in.
