Chinese Soup Spoon Making Out of Mussel

I tried making a Chinese soup spoon made out of mussel by making use of urushi (Japanese lacquer).

Sabi-urushi（Urushi＋Clay Powder）

Step 1: Bowl & Handle

Making a bowl and handle from each shell.

Step 2: Sabi-urushi

Put together those parts by using sabi-urushi.

Step 3: Water-resistant Paper

Make the surface smooth.

Step 4: Colored Urushi

Cover attachment part by colored urushi.

Step 5: Mussel Fried Rice & Mussel Spoon

Now you can enjoy mussel fried rice by the mussel spoon.

Step 6: Mussel Soup & Mussel and Wood Spoon

This spoon is made of mussel shell and wood
